We are excited to have your son attend boys camp this year. It is a great opportunity for our young group men to hang out with the youth of our church and create lasting memories. Many years have passed since the first camp back in the late 90's. But if you ask many of the 20, 30 and 40 year old brothers in our church, they will have memories of going to boys camp and possibly serving in boys camp.

We typically leave Bluffton around noon on a Friday to arrive at the campsite on Friday afternoon. At this point the campers are put into groups with two young group leaders. They select their group name, get settled in their cabin, and start playing games. While the campers are playing games, the cooks are setting up the cooking tent and preparing the Friday night supper. After supper is finished, there will usually be a short devotion by one of the brothers or group devotions by each tent.

After we wake up on Saturday, we prepare our gear for the main activity. This is usually canoeing, climbing or spelunking which runs into the afternoon. When we get back to the campground more games will ensue, typically a few heated sock games between the counselors and the boys. Saturday ends with some skits by the groups and a meal around the fire.

On Sunday morning we wake up to the cooks making breakfast. After breakfast, some of the counselors deliver a lesson to teach us about life through God's word. When our time of worship is complete, we will pack up and head home. If things go as planned, we should arrive home Sunday early afternoon.
